A wedding ceremony can be held anywhere from a church to your reception site to a judge's chambers to a remote mountaintop. Whether you're starting your search from scratch or you have an affiliation with a particular church or synagogue, you need to check on some details before deciding to hold your ceremony there:

Is it available for the date and time you want? If there are any weddings or other services booked for that day, how will that affect your event?
Is it large enough to hold your guests? Is there adequate parking?
Does the wedding officiant have any requirements you're unwilling to satisfy, such as couples counseling classes?
Do you like the wedding officiant and feel that he or she is the person you want to join you in marriage? If not, can you bring in someone you're more comfortable with?
Does the location have any restrictions concerning music or photography? For example, some churches require you to use their organist, which can limit your ceremony music selection.
Will the ceremony site provide any services, such as pew decorations or aisle runners?

The lovely new Hilton Garden Inn, located in downtown historic Richmond, will be the venue for this amazing event held Sunday, June 28, 2009 from 1:30PM to 4:00PM. While showcasing this beautiful venue, our special guest speakers will inform you with tips on ways to make your celebration a day to remember. Keeping with the theme, the event will showcase things that are new and blue on the market today and highlight ideas that are borrowed from yesterday. We will have vendors offering specialty bridal items and services. Also joining us for this fun filled afternoon event will be DC¡¯s Finest! Veteran Planner, Kelley Gillespie. Kelley is the President of GEM Events and Past President of the Greater Washington D.C. Chapter of International Special Event Society, she currently serves as Board Member of the Special Events Magazine. DeCambreEvents and Associates will be donating a portion of the proceeds to support Children¡¯s Health Involving Parents (CHIP). CHIP of Greater Richmond brings education and support services to the homes of low-income families with young children who live in the Richmond area. ¡°At DeCambreEvents & Associates, we are both excited and thrilled to bring Richmond this wonderful event.
